We are honored to announce that OpenSPP has been reviewed by the Digital Public Goods Alliance (DPGA) and found to be a digital public good (DPG). Along with all other DPGs, OpenSPP is now listed in the digital public good registry.

Being recognized as a DPG adds a level of credibility to our open source social protection solution and enhances its visibility which is crucial for its adoption by governments and humanitarian agencies willing to provide social assistance to the populations they serve.

The DPGA defines digital public goods as open source software, open data, open AI models, open standards, and open content that adhere to privacy and other applicable laws and best practices, do no harm, and help attain the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The DPGA is a multi-stakeholder initiative endorsed by the United Nations Secretary-General, working to accelerate the attainment of the SDGs in low- and middle-income countries by facilitating the discovery, development, use of, and investment in digital public goods.
